About the Author
Arnold Bennett is famous for his realistic novels about the Five Towns - the 'Five Towns' being the pottery towns of his youth. His virtuosity as a writer was his manner of depicting simple things and ordinary people in an intriguing way for the readers. He has a warm and kind understanding for his characters, particularly when describing the intricate details of their dreary routine lives. (Enoch) Arnold Bennett was born in Hanley, Staffordshire, in 1867. Arnold followed his father into the legal profession but at the age of 21, he decided to leave his father's firm and moved to London and worked as a solicitor's clerk. He won a literary competition in ""Tit Bits"" magazine in 1889 and in 1893 became assistant editor of the journal, Woman. He published his first essentially autobiographical novel The Man from the North in 1898. His best work is contained in his novels of the 'Five Towns' which include Anna of the Five Towns (1902), The Old Wives' Tale (1908), Clayhanger (1910), The Card (1911), Hilda Lessways (1911) and These Twain (1916). During the First World War, he became Director of Propaganda at the War Ministry. He refused a knighthood in 1918. In 1926, he began writing an influential weekly article on books for the Evening Standard newspaper.

If you read this book, you'll know why the Savoy in London serves a dish called Omelette Arnold Bennett. And although it's not one of his "important" novels, you'll also have read something light, amusing and quaint in a similar way to Grand Babylon Hotel.

Humorous, sharply observed, delightful

This is the first Arnold Bennett novel I have read, and I must confess I had not heard of Bennett before. I found this little book on the shelf of an outdoor "free library," decided to give it a try, and subsequently discovered one of the most entertaining books I have read in a long time. This is a fun story, subtly tender but mainly humorous, that is as much about the characters as it is about the plot. What will happen when headstrong young Helen decides to move in her with long-lost old uncle? Read and find out for yourself in this short little novel that is worth your time.

Great Insight and Step-by-Step Instructions

I got great insight about how to build business credit and step-by-step instructions. It did a good job of breaking down the elephant into easily digestible bites. I had allotted a week to study the book before getting started but I'm actually ready to get started now after reading it in one evening. I was already familiar with all of the concepts, just not in this kind of detail; it helps that most of the info is written in plain conversational English with the most important details repeated in the order they come up in the step-by-step process.

Stuff like this is never as easy as it seems and I'll probably have some questions once I get started but after reflecting on the info overnight, I'm eager to get rolling and confident it will be relatively easy if I just stay on top of the details. And be warned -- there are lots of details to manage but if you know that going in, you can get yourself mentally ready.

Muy simp�tica y entretenida. Toda la narraci�n es desde primera persona, Susana, a mi no me gusta mucho ese estilo, pero estuvo bien narrada y las descripciones fueron acertadas ni muy largas ni muy cortas. Lo �nico que falt� fue desarrollar un poco mas el romance, pero la recomiendo para pasar un buen rato y divertirse con el Club Cotilla, mientras tu tambi�n vas atando cabos.

he book offers many samples, templates checklists and tips and tricks on a breadth of pertinent topics. Concepts and terms are explained clearly. I have read many QA and testing books, but I haven't seen any that outline the skills and tips on how to get started as a software tester.

Following the advice given in the book will help both novices and seasoned professionals. I highly recommend that anyone seeking a first time job as a manual tester or someone who can appreciate a high level review.

Despite the short length of the book, it's well-informed and meticulous with the details. There are charts and images to illustrate what the discussion was about. Awesome book.

About the Author
David K Ferry is Regents' Professor in the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering, at Arizona State University. He received his doctoral degree from the University of Texas, Austin, and was the recipient of the 1999 Cledo Brunetti Award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for his contributions to nanoelectronics. He is the author, or co-author, of numerous scientific articles and more than a dozen books
