When I first started writing The Daddy Pact, I'd thought it would be a standalone story. I thought the same thing when I wrote A Hero For Holly. But then I read a series by Debbie Macomber and knew I wanted to write one, too. I just loved the fact that I wouldn't have to say goodbye to characters I'd grown to love when the story was finished. That I could hold on to them for a while longer if I could just come up with a few more books.

So I put my thinking cap on and before too much time passed, the Coach's Boys series was born, and Jon, Cal, and Chris joined Dan and Sam. Even better, Detective Ed Winslow didn't disappear after the first scene, and I couldn't have been happier. �I had liked him from the start, but he's quickly become a series favorite, and I've had many requests to give him his own story. And it's looking like that may happen...after I finish the next two installments.
About the Author
Kristy K. James' first goal in life was to work in law enforcement, until the night she called the police to check out a scary noise in her yard. Realizing that she might someday have to investigate scary noises in yards just as dark as hers if she continued on that path, she turned to her other favorite love...writing. Since then her days have been filled with being a mom and reluctant zookeeper (7 pets), creating stories, and looking for trouble in her kitchen.
Kristy is the author of the Coach's Boys series (The Daddy Pact, A Harry Situation, Her Best Friend Jon, Code Red Christmas), Enza, Reluctant Guardian, Laying Low in Paradise, Gluten-Free Sucks, A Fine Mess, and more.
*Alas, the pets are down to six. Thirteen year old black lab, Shadow, passed away in May 2013.

cute novel

This is the second book I have had the pleasure of reading from author Kristy K. James. The first one was a historical novel, so this is my first romance of hers. If you like your romances light, clean and fun to read then you will enjoy this novel.
Holly is a great mom, but she is always wrapped up so much in being a mom and taking care of her two kids that she never has much personal time. She is always working at the restaurant to support her little family. What she would really like to do is not be so busy and enjoy her family. Holly doesn't really have a personal life but she does have a crush on her sons boy scout leader, Sam. She just doesn't think he would really be interested in her because she has two kids.
Sam is a great guy, the kind of man you would hope would be leading your boys. He loves hanging out with the boys in his group but he really likes hanging out with Zack and Billy's mom, Holly, but she doesn't know about his secret crush. He was very easy to like and seems so sweet and sexy. It's a good thing Sam has some great friends to help him along in trying to woe Holly, because he was pretty helpless.
A Hero for Holly is a fun light-hearted romance and I caught myself smiling and laughing a lot as I read it. The characters are great and even though some of the subplots left me wondering a bit I do know from the author that, Ed's mystery has a part in all the books. So if you want a great clean romance to read, pick up a copy of The Daddy Pact as it is only .99 and then you will be ready for A Hero for Holly when it is released!
It's a recommended read for all romance lovers!

Great story for young and old

This series was a delightful surprise as the story is well written and the characters draw you in. Younger readers can enjoy without graphic sex
